Sensor Marketing and Data Mining

Abstract:

Innovation in sensor technology is progressing day by day and performance and application range of the device are dramatically expanding. Due to this, the importance of marketing using sensor technologies are getting increasing more and more. Creation of new services connected to new technologies is considered as affecting the corporate competitiveness. This study helps you understand sensor technologies as a data of path-data (pathdata) from a wide point of view. I will introduce the way of data mining technique to analyze those and the latest cases of the sensor marketing.

Katsutoshi Yada

Biography:

Katsutoshi Yada is Professor of Management Information Systems in the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Kansai University and guest professor of Osaka University. He was a visiting scholar of School of Business at Columbia University from 2006 to 2007. His present research interests include data mining for business, and information strategy concerning data mining. His papers have appeared in several international journals, including Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Soft Computing, Decision Support Systems and others. He received Distinguished Professor Award from Kansai University and many international and domestic awards from academic societies.
